developer edition

I am planning to purchase the developer edition of SQL server. I just read
in a review on Amazon.com that it does not work on Windows XP. I have
windows XP pro. Has anyone had any experience here. Will it not work for
me.
MSDE works fine on my machine and I don't see why this would not but I
thought I would ask before buying.

I have developers edition running on a WIN XP Pro laptop right now - never have problems with it...
