Diferrent between SP 3 and SP 3a

Hi,
I faced a problem in my company SQL server and the Microsoft support team to
ld me to install SP 3 and not SP 3a but they didn't tell me the reason. Does
anybody have any idea about the key differneces between SP 3 and 3a?
