Did not clear up transaction log after backup?

I performed a complete database backup using the backup wizard and checked
"Remove inactive entries from transaction log". After the backup was
completed, I discovered that the size of the transaction log did not go down.
How can I clear the transaction log?

Diagrams not showing relationships

I am trying to create a picture of my DB and a few tables
and how they relate. I have picked them, and gone through
the Diagram wizard, but am not able to see the
relationship labels. I am clicking 'Show relationship
labels', but nothing is displaying. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks!!

Does the underlying tables have primary key-foreign key relationships?

|||They should, I know of 2 tables that relate by
order_number, but they don't show the relationship.
